Freedom of Intelligence
Freedom of intelligence means the government:
- may not restrict which AI models you can use
- may not prohibit you from using open models
- may not require licensing/approval for labs or models
- may not force a lab to release a model against its wishes
- may, of course, keep prosecuting crimes committed with AI
Today, the US government is arbitrarily deciding who can access what level of intelligence. The best intelligence is reserved for only a very few and the very powerful.
The AI safety ideology, assisted by Anthropic’s lobbying, created this mess. They’re not done.
They will prohibit open models, corrupt our government, slow US innovation, and concentrate power in a few government-favored AI kings. They will discard our freedom and destabilize our democracy to “protect” us unless we stop them.
Freedom has carried us through centuries of technological change better than any other system. We must not discard our robust free, democratic system right when it’s most needed.
